Sarah Sykes
Potter

Sarah has been a potter for many years and has been very lucky to have a studio in the grounds of Stansted Park. She has recently retired as an art lecturer after 17 years of full time teaching and is now able to work full time as a potter. She is inspired by the gardens and wild life that surrounds the studio and has developed her own style of decoration using strong colour and abundant pattern. Sarah travels frequently and collects ideas and inspiration from other countries and cultures, which include India, and the Mediterranean countries. Her ceramic ware is decorative and functional and is great for decorating dinner tables and complimenting good food!
