Set within the stunning grounds of the Stansted Estate, the Stansted House Trail Hike offers an unforgettable outdoor challenge just outside Portsmouth. With three distances to choose from Half Marathon, 15k, and 10k this event welcomes walkers and hikers of all abilities, from those seeking their first challenge to experienced adventurers looking for a scenic, early-season outing.

As you begin your walk, you'll be immersed in the lush greenery of the South Downs, following trails that wind through peaceful ancient woodland. Sunlight filters through the tree canopy, creating a calming, atmospheric environment perfect for walking at your own pace. Keep an eye out for wildlife deer, woodland birds, and other native species are often seen along the route.

The trail then opens into wide, sweeping fields dotted with wildflowers, offering beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Walking beneath the impressive silhouette of Stansted House, with its grand historic architecture, adds a unique and memorable touch to this beautiful challenge.

Whichever distance you choose, Half Marathon, 15k, or 10k, you'll complete your adventure with a well-earned sense of achievement. At the finish, every participant receives a high-quality metal medal, a refreshing drink, and finisher's goodies to celebrate their accomplishment.

Useful Information

  • You will collect your hiking bib number on arrival at the event. Please bring your QR code with you on the day and head to 'Registration' for collection.

  • Save The Event Phone Number: 02033 717 156.

  • Bib numbers should be displayed clearly on the front of you.

  • We are plastic free, please bring a reusable cup / bottle for use at the water stations.

  • There will be First Aid support located at the on-course aid stations and event centre

FAQ

Q: are there any age restrictions?
A Our trail events are open to participants aged 17 and over. We also welcome participants aged 12-16, provided they are accompanied by a participating adult throughout the event with a maximum of 3:1 child to adult ratio.


Q: Can I hike with a buggy/pushchair?
A: Unfortunately, due to the nature of our events, buggies are not permitted.

Q; Are dogs allowed?
A: Unfortunately no dogs are allowed at this event.

Q: Can I buy a ticket on the gate?
A: Yes, as long as the event has not sold out. On the day entries are available and are subject to on the day pricing. Please see the event page for more information.

Q: How do I enter a group?
A: After clicking book now on the event page you then have the ability to add each member of your team to the cart.

Follow Brown Heritage signs from A3 (M) Emsworth exit or A27 Havant exit. Enter the Estate through the South Entrance (unless directed otherwise for specific events)
