On Sunday 14th, Monday 15th, and Tuesday 16th June, PO9 and PO10 residents can enjoy £5 entry to Stansted House.


Step inside the beautiful Edwardian mansion and discover the fascinating history of the Stansted Estate and the Ponsonby family, who purchased Stansted Park in 1924.


Explore the stunning State Rooms, once used by the family to entertain politicians, actors, and royalty, before moving downstairs to discover the extensive and fully furnished Servants Quarters.


Please note that proof of address is required to purchase a £5 local resident ticket. If you are booking online or purchasing tickets on the day, please remember to bring something with you on the day as your proof of address.

Admission to Stansted House is usually £10 an adult and £8 for concessions.

FAQ

Q: Can I prebook tickets for this event?
A: £5 tickets can be purchased via our ticketing site or on the day at Stansted House. Please note that ticketholders must bring proof of their address with them otherwise they will be charged for standard admission to Stansted House.

Q: Are dogs allowed inside Stansted House and the Chapel of St Paul?
A: Unfortunately only assistance dogs are allowed inside the House and Chapel.

Q: Can I take photographs inside the House?
A: Photographs without the use of flash may be taken inside of the House and Chapel. Tripods are not allowed inside the House or Chapel. Please note that drones are not allowed anywhere on the Estate without prior permission from the Stansted Park Foundation.

Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available in the Garden Centre Car Park. A buggy service runs between the House, Chapel and Garden Centre Car Park during House opening and can accommodate up to five passengers, including one wheelchair user.
A step-free visitor route is available around the House via two lifts. Please note that due to the size of one of these lifts, we may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters. Two wheelchairs are available in the House on a first come, first served basis.
