Explore Stansted House in full Christmas spirit as characters from Charles Dickens’ "A Christmas Carol" welcome you to the house for a Torch Light Christmas Carol.
Mr Dickens’ has written a new novel, a Ghost Story of all things! Mrs Dickens is not quite convinced it will sell, so she has invited some friends to hear her read from the first draft to see what they think. But as she does, the stories come to life, and as you make your way from room to room the characters will recount Scrooge’s experience from the famous book. But the characters will be very keen to get you involved! From the Fezziwig’s Christmas Party to Scrooge’s nephew playing party games this will be an immersive tour around the house. But as you descend into the depths of the building the Ghost of Christmas yet to come shows you what might be, the tour comes to a close and then as Christmas Morning breaks... make your way to the Servants Quarters to join in some carols, mince pies and mulled wine to end your evening!
Each tour lasts about an hour with a mulled wine and minced pie at the end (non alcoholic options available!).
