About Stansted Park Foundation

The Stansted Park Foundation is a charitable foundation set up to preserve Stansted Park in perpetuity for the benefit of the nation. Much of the importance of the Estate lies in the landscaped settings of Stansted House.  The Estate Team Department plays a key role in helping the Foundation to achieve its charitable objectives through the opening of the grounds to the public and holding functions and events, which contribute to the maintenance of Stansted Park.

The Foundation has embarked on the programme of improvement of the Walled Gardens for the public. With increasing numbers of visitors, the Foundation now needs a working presence in the Walled Gardens to provide a welcoming face to the public and to address any immediate issues that should arise during the day.

The good representation of the Foundation to the visitors and tenants is central to this role. Reporting to the Estate Team Manager, the role requires a person who shares our charitable objectives, enjoys working with the public and has good initiative. • Be of reasonable fitness to walk the site and be on their feet for much of the day.

  • Be able to work outside - even in hot weather.

  • Be happy to approach the public and encourage them to visit the House during public opening and hand out leaflets when requested by your manager.
