THE PONSONBY WOMEN

Join us for a special tour of the stunning State Rooms at Stansted House and discover the fascinating stories of the Ponsonby women.

​

From Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough’s political campaigning in the eighteenth century to Lady Moyra Ponsonby’s experiences as a nurse, this  tour will explore the lives of the women whose portraits and photographs decorate Stansted House today.

​

During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to see items from the collection that are not usually on display during our public opening.

​

This guided tour will last approximately one hour.

​

Discounted tickets are available for Friends of Stansted Park.

​

Access Requirements 

This tour is wheelchair friendly and step-free access around the House is available. Please note however that the lift may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
