THE PONSONBY WOMEN
Monday 4 March 2024
Ahead of International Women’s Day, join us at Stansted House for a special tour of the State Rooms and discover the fascinating stories of the Ponsonby women.
From Henrietta Ponsonby, Countess of Bessborough’s political campaigning in the eighteenth century to Lady Moyra Ponsonby’s experiences as a nurse, this tour will explore the lives of the women whose portraits and photographs decorate Stansted House today.
This guided tour will last approximately one hour.
Discounted tickets are available for Friends of Stansted Park.
This tour is wheelchair friendly and step-free access around the House is available. Please note however that the lift may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 02392 412 265 (opt 5) to discuss accessibility for this event further.
