A concert celebrating extemporisation, and composers for whom Improvisation was a key component of their work. Andy Quin will be performing works involving aspects of improvisation, including live demonstration of some of the techniques.
The programme will include well known film, tv and classical music for piano, along with some of his own compositions that have appeared in numerous high profile productions.​​​​​

Biography
​
Andy Quin is a composer and improvising concert pianist who’s music and recordings you will all have heard.
He turned down a classical piano scholarship to the RCM at a very young age, in order to concentrate on composing, improvising and computer music technology. After graduating, Andy became a full-time professional composer working mainly in film, tv, media and advertising. His compositions, often featuring piano, have been broadcast all over the world for many decades and he has recently accrued over two billion streams on YouTube!
Andy has composed, conducted and recorded with the world’s finest musicians and orchestras including the LSO, RPO, BBC Concert Orchestra and members of the Royal Ballet Sinfonia. He is always busy composing music for leading films and adverts, as well as giving master-classes and recitals at many conservatoires and universities. He is a Founder Member of the Ivor’s Academy and principal member of the Performing Right Society.
