The House, Grounds and Forest are maintained by the Stansted Park Foundation, a charitable trust (Registered Charity No. 1101251) that needs and welcomes your support to help preserve and enhance the House, its contents and the Estate for the future.

We love meeting new volunteers; our Stansted Park supporters are friendly, helpful people of all ages and backgrounds who have become Stansted Park Volunteers – please join us! Maybe you have just retired or moved into the area. No experience is needed just enthusiastic friendly people like you.
 

Indoors or outdoors? It’s up to you!

If you enjoy the outdoor life and have a few hours to donate, our Garden Volunteers would love to meet you.  They are an enthusiastic group who meet up and help once a week. To register your interest please use the button below.

Our House Stewards help visitors enjoy Stansted House during our open season and it is good to have someone help out with the Maze, meeting and greeting our visitors. To register your interest please use the button below.

If books are more your thing, then why not help out in the Foundation’s second hand bookshop in the Garden Centre? After an initial training and assessment session you can help out for an hour a week or more, depending on your availability. You don’t have to deal with money; your tasks include sorting out the donations, spotting that rare first edition and re-stocking the shelves whilst helping the customers to find that special book.
