
Evening Guided Tour: The Women of Stansted Park

Step inside Stansted House after the sun has set and enjoy a special evening tour of the beautiful Edwardian mansion, focusing on the fascinating stories of the women associated with Stansted Park and the Ponsonby family.
Your evening will commence with a glass of fizz by the fire as our pianist performs in the Music Room, welcoming you into this beautiful space.
You will then enjoy an upstairs, downstairs experience as our Collections Coordinator shows you around the stunning State Rooms and the Servants Quarters, discussing the lives of the women whose portraits decorate the walls and who once occupied these spaces.
You will also have the opportunity to see some items from the collection and archive that are not usually on public display.

Q: Can I take photographs inside the House?
A: Photographs without the use of flash may be taken inside of Stansted House. Tripods are not allowed inside the House.
Accessibility
This guided tour is wheelchair friendly and step-free access is available around the House. Please note that the lift may not be able to accommodate some motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
