Elizabeth I's 1591 Progress
Wednesday 24 September 2025
2pm-3:30pm, doors open at 1:30pm

Join us in the beautiful Music Room of Stansted House for a fascinating talk on Queen Elizabeth I’s 1591 progress.

During this progress, the Queen visited West Sussex and Hampshire and stayed at Stansted Park, then in the ownership of Lord Lumley. This talk will look at the progress from the Queen’s perspective but also from the point of view of those living here; whether it was the hosts, the gentry, the city of Chichester, or the people like us.
£15 per person, discounted tickets available for Friends of Stansted Park
