Childrens Donkey Rides
Stansted House

Take a ride on a Christmas donkey in front of Stansted House. Tickets are available in the Main Hall of the House on the day. 

Rides are strictly for children with a weight and height limit of six stone and 4’ 6” (138 cm). Please be aware that the donkeys will take breaks away from the public which may lead to waiting times. The donkeys are brought to Stansted by kellysdonkeys.co.uk who have a 5 Star Licence (highest) and the welfare of the animals is their highest importance. 
 

Stansted House will also be open where you can explore the beautiful Edwardian Mansion after it has been decorated for the Festive season.  Enjoy an 'upstairs, downstairs' experience as you stroll through the House and admire the traditional decorations, exploring how Christmas has been celebrated through the centuries. ​

You'll also discover how the Earls of Bessborough celebrated Christmas and learn more about the visit of Queen Elizabeth, wife of King George VI, to Stansted Park in December 1939. Downstairs in the extensive Servants Quarters, you will explore the servants experiences during the festive season, including the origins of Boxing Day. Ticket are available for both the House and the Donkey Rides in the Main Hall of the House, you do not need to visit the House to ride on the Donkey.

Please park in the South Entrance car park and come to the House via the Dutch Garden gate.
