LEARNING
AT STANSTED

A WEALTH OF OUTDOOR LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES ON YOUR DOORSTEP

STANSTED PARK FOR SCHOOLS & COLLEGES - WORKSHOPS FOR KEY STAGES 1 - 4

Stansted Park is an Edwardian stately home set in 1800 acres of beautiful grounds.

The extensive servants' quarters and grand state rooms make it a fascinating place to learn about how life has changed over the last 100 years. In addition, the unique Chapel, the yew tree maze and beautiful Arboretum, with over 40 species of trees, allow for wider curriculum learning.

We have a range of curriculum-based workshops linked to History, Art, Literacy, Science and Religious Studies. All our workshops include hands-on activities.

REMINISCENCE & CURIOSITY SESSIONS

Stansted House offers object handling sessions which are multi-sensory and aim to engage older people in both shared memories and new discoveries.

Memory Lane: everyday objects from days gone by.

Curiosities: unusual objects to explore and discuss.
