Stansted House and the Chapel of St Paul are now open to visitors from 1pm - 5pm (last admission 4pm) on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday . Our 'contacts' page shows how to find Stansted Park. You can download a copy of our visitor leaflet to read or print.

NEW THIS SEASON: Talks at Two on Tuesdays. Every Tuesday at two o’clock you can join an expert talk about one of the aspects of Stansted House’s ‘upstairs –downstairs’ collection. Hear stories about real Irish Linen; Lovely Ladies; the travels of the 3rd Earl; 18th century intrigues; or what the Butler did! Enjoy an ‘extra’ @ 2 on Tuesdays when our guides will offer ‘ten-minute talks’ (with normal admission ticket).
Plan your day at Stansted Park by reading about our other attractions (below) that open all year round. Free car parks are open 9-5pm with restricted access during the winter, and if events are taking place.

Stansted House Garden Centre (now under new management and undergoing a complete refurbishment) is open all year for wonderful good-value top quality plants, tools, furniture & gifts. Full disabled access and free parking. Tel: 023 9241 3090 for further details.
The Pavilion Tea Room is open daily for delicious homemade refreshments, in the walled garden. There is free parking and easy access.Tel: 023 9241 3432 to book or enquire. You can also download a sample menu.
The Stansted Park Light Railway: passenger-carrying steam and diesel locomotives. Open weekends and Wednesdays, other days depending on staffing and the weather. Before your visit call to check: 023 9241 3324 for timetable and more information.
Le Salon du Chocolat -tasting, making, buying- is beside the garden centre and can be contacted at 023 9241 3350 www.lesalonduchocolat.co.uk . Talks and workshops, great for teambuilding activities, parties, and weddings.

The Stansted Park Cricket Club plays its home matches in front of the mansion, where cricket has been played since the 1740s. For news and more information, see www.stanstedcc.co.uk or download a list of fixtures.

Dogs: Only assistance dogs are permitted in the gardens and house. There is no shade in car parks. For reasons of public safety dogs are not allowed at events. Dog on footpaths and in the Forest must be kept on leads.
Special needs: We welcome all visitors and will help you get the most out of your visit . Paths in the grounds are sloping and gravel or grass. There is a wheelchair lift and an Edwardian caged lift for access to the historic House.They are not suitable for large powered wheelchairs.
Please do contact us in advance to make the most of your visit. Disabled visitors can be set down and collected at the door of the House by prior arrangement (call 02392 41 2265). Please also download or ask for our accessibility statement.
