Access and Special needs: We welcome visitors of all interests and abilities. We want to help you get the most out of your visit . Some paths in the grounds are sloping and surfaced with gravel or grass. The walled gardens, garden centre, craft workshops and Pavilion tea room all have level access.
There is a wheelchair lift and an Edwardian caged lift for access to the historic House. They are not suitable for large powered wheelchairs.
Please do contact us in advance to make the most of your visit. Disabled visitors can be set down and collected at the door of the House by prior arrangement (call 02392 41 2265). Please also download or ask for our access statement.. We also welcome your feedback to help us improve our service.
Parking: The Garden Centre car park is the main car park for access to all walled garden attractions, the Stansted Maze, the Pavilion tea room, Stansted House and the Chapel.
There is a designated 'disabled' car park next to the tea room for Blue Badge holders.
House visitors with mobility limitations may be dropped off beside the House. Please email or phone 02392 41 2265 for directions.

Dogs: Only assistance dogs are permitted in the gardens, maze and house. There is no shade in car parks. For reasons of public safety dogs are not allowed at events. Dogs on footpaths and bridleways in the Forest must be kept on leads.
